Gold Coast to be slugged by Labor’s legislation to means test private health insurance

IT’S no secret the public health system on the Gold Coast is groaning under the weight of excess demand.

It is reported surgery is often cancelled, it can take years to see a specialist, and one doctor has even said some crucial areas of Queensland’s public hospital system are worse than Third World countries!

Unfortunately it’s going to get even worse, and lives will be lost, as the Gillard Government has passed laws to means test the private health insurance rebate.

Gillard abandons the Coast… again

Carbon tax to cost the Coast

Labor’s carbon tax is expected to increase the cost of living by $515 a year and even on their own figures three million Australian households, many of them on the Coast, will be worse off under the carbon tax.

Over the coming decades Labor’s carbon tax will cost the Australian economy more than a trillion dollars and see every Australian slugged $40,000 – the equivalent of a full years work for many.
